# Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: 8 October 2026
Marsjön respects your privacy and your right to control your personal information.
This page explains how users of Marsjön CMS can request deletion of personal data and information associated with connected Facebook and Instagram accounts.
1. Disconnecting Facebook or Instagram
If you have connected a Facebook Page or Instagram Business or Creator account to Marsjön CMS, you can disconnect the integration from within Marsjön CMS.
When the integration is disconnected, Marsjön will stop using the associated Meta access token to access the connected account.
You may also remove Marsjön's access through your Facebook or Instagram settings by removing the app from the relevant connected apps or business integrations section.
2. Requesting deletion of your data
You can request deletion of personal data associated with your Marsjön CMS account at any time.
To request deletion, send an email to:
hej@marsjon.se
Please include:
- Your name
- Your email address associated with Marsjön CMS
- Your company or organization name, if applicable
- A short description of what data you would like deleted
- Information about any connected Facebook or Instagram account, if relevant
We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.
3. What data may be deleted
Depending on your use of Marsjön CMS, deletion may include:
- Personal profile information
- Account information
- Facebook Page identifiers
- Instagram account identifiers
- Access tokens
- Permissions related to connected Meta accounts
- Social media integration settings
- Draft or scheduled social media content
- Other personal information associated with your account
4. What happens after a deletion request
Once a valid deletion request has been verified, Marsjön will delete or anonymize the relevant personal information within a reasonable period of time.
Access tokens related to connected Facebook or Instagram accounts will no longer be used.
Some information may be retained where required by law, accounting obligations, contractual requirements, fraud prevention or security requirements.
5. Facebook and Instagram data
Marsjön CMS acts as a publishing and content management tool.
Customers actively choose to connect their own Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts and decide what content is created, scheduled or published.
Information obtained through Meta's APIs is used only to provide the functionality requested by the customer.
Marsjön does not use Facebook or Instagram data for independent advertising, profiling or unrelated marketing purposes.
If a user disconnects a Facebook or Instagram account or requests deletion, Marsjön will remove the integration data that is no longer required to provide the service, subject to applicable legal requirements.
6. Removing Marsjön through Meta
You may also remove Marsjön's access directly through your Facebook account.
In Meta's account or business settings, locate the section for connected apps, business integrations or active integrations and remove Marsjön.
Removing the integration will prevent Marsjön from using the associated access permissions going forward.
If you also want information stored within Marsjön CMS to be deleted, please send a deletion request to:
hej@marsjon.se
7. Data retained for legal reasons
Certain information may need to be retained even after a deletion request.
This may include information required for:
- Accounting and tax obligations

Such information will only be retained for as long as required.
